Amateur Radio Gear Info
I often find valuable
information concerning Amateur Radio equipment via the internet. Whether from a
web page that someone has generously constructed or via email, helpful
information is available often for the asking. It is in that spirit that I make
available here some info I have found useful, or at least interesting.
Some of the info
below requires Adobe Acrobat Reader: Get Adobe Acrobat

Ham Radio Magazine
Online Cumulative Index One of the most valuable resources ever published
for the hands on ham who loves tinkering & building. Now the magazine is
available on CDROM from CQ Publishing
or the ARRL.
I have the entire set, and am willing to share articles. Send me a note via email if you desire an
article.

Solar Power
I
have a small PV (photovoltaic; i.e. solar panel) array which I use to charge a
bank of 12 volt sealed lead acid batteries. I use this power to operate a
trolling motor to stir my biodiesel batches, and to operate a boom box stereo
& some amateur radio gear.
I
decided to make the array track the sun to gather more energy, and so purchased
one of the tracking modules from Red Rock Energy; details here.
